The annual school Sports Day took place on the afternoon of Friday 28th June. Luckily the sun shone and the light breeze kept the spectators suitably cool.
The event opened with a procession of each house group led by the flag bearers from each house. T
Students from Years 7-10 represented their House group in a number of track events. All students gave of their best and on the day 3 school records were broken. Ryan Grey set a new Yr 7 100m record, Akaylah Lobban set a new Yr8 100m record and Kamani Steadman set a new Yr9 100m record. There was an electric atmosphere throughout the afternoon as spectators encouraged and cheered on their House groups. The loudest cheers were saved for the final race, the staff relay in which 7 teams from different subject areas competed.
The final positions were as follows:
- 1St Participation 83 points
- 2nd Honour 74 points
- 3rd Spirit 72 points
- 4th Solidarity 64 points
- 5th Dedication 63 points
Once again, although the plaudits fall on the heads of the medallists, everyone who competed deserves our congratulations.
