Year 11 Leavers Day 2017

Graduation Day took place on Thursday 29th June. Despite the rain, parents, students and staff all turned out at the front of school to view Year 11’s arrive in all their glory.

Following their red carpet arrival, students made their way to the hall where the atmosphere was buzzing.

Principal Mr Smith told students how amazing they looked and how proud they should be of themselves and he wished them a wonderful day and life ahead of them.

Mr McDowall then celebrated the student’s achievements with the McDowally Awards: humerous awards including the biggest chatterbox, Little Prince and Princess Award and the person most likely to rule the world. These were followed by the House Manager Awards and the Student Awards.

For the first time ever, Derby Moor crowned their Graduation King and Queen – Riaz Stephenson and Heavenlee Hull.

It was a very memorable and emotional day for everyone.

We would like to thank our Year 11 students for the contribution they have made to the school over the years and wish them all the best for the future.
