Meet the Staff

The Creative Arts Department is split into three different areas; Art, Drama and Music. All these subjects are studied up to Year 9 and are offered as GCSE and A Level course choices for years after that (10, 11, 12 and 13). Within the department the teachers have access to eight classrooms with equipment and facilities to assist in teaching all three subjects. We have easels, keyboards and computer mixing software, a stage with state of the art lighting and sound system and access to a number of other pieces of equipment and resources for both the practical and theory side of Creative Arts.
Music
Music at Derby Moor is an integral part of Creative Arts. Learn about the subject here.
Drama
Taught until Year 9, and as an option for GCSE and A-Level, Drama is a popular subject at Derby Moor.
Art
The Art department offer a lot of courses ranging from Year 7 all the way through to Year 13 if students wish to follow the subject through to A-Level.
